Elgin enjoy rare win
Scottish League Two's bottom club Elgin finally won a league game for the first time since August as they clinched a 3-2 victory at Montrose. The visitors started well and deservedly went ahead after 16 minutes when Dennis Wyness pounced inside the penalty area following a Brian Cameron free-kick. It got even better for Elgin seven minutes later when Ross Graham headed the ball into his own net to double the lead for Jim Weir's team.Michael Travis set up Garry Wood five minutes into the second half as Montrose, with their first real effort at goal, halved their deficit.Elgin were still a threat though and substitute Craig Gunn sealed a first win in 13 league matches in the 88th minute with a low, right-foot shot from inside the box.Ross McCord's free-kick in the 90th minute made injury time a tense affair for the visitors but they held on.
