Chesterfield fight back to claim replay after draw with Scunthorpe
Chesterfield produced an inspired second-half fightback to force an FA Cup third-round replay after a 2-2 draw with Scunthorpe at Glanford Park.
With a trip to Derby awaiting the winner, the visitors looked to be up against it at the interval as they trailed 2-0, on-loan Chelsea loanee defender Alex Davey firing an excellent first goal in senior football and Lyle Taylor adding the second just before the break.
Man of the match Sam Slocombe preserved Scunthorpe's lead with brilliant saves from Armand Gnanduillet and Sam Clucas but Eoin Doyle reduced the arrears from the penalty spot after Gareth Roberts had been upended and Jay O'Shea netted an 85th-minute equaliser.
