McAleer seals East Fife win

Caolan McAleer's stoppage-time strike secured East Fife a 2-0 victory over Arbroath at Bayview Stadium. Simon Murray nearly put the visitors into an early lead before Gary Naysmith's men were awarded a penalty. Derek Riordan's resulting spot-kick was saved by Arbroath's Marc McCallum to keep his side level.But Riordan soon made amends as he fired East Fife into the lead before the interval, nestling a pinpoint free-kick into the bottom corner. Nathan Austin nearly doubled the home side's tally as he forced the busy McCallum into making a fine save. McAleer hit the 91st-minute winner came when he tucked away Alan Cook's pss from close range.
