An eventful 10 minutes at Links Park saw Berwick clinch a 2-0 win over 10-man Montrose. Berwick looked to assert their dominance on the game as Blair Henderson and Willis squandered further chances. An action-packed period of the game began shortly after the hour, as Rangers' Steven Notman struck a penalty over the crossbar. The Gable Endies were reduced to 10 men a short time later, when Terry Masson was dismissed for a dangerous challenge, before Lee Currie opened the scoring when he beat McKenzie with an impressive free-kick.
