McNiff snatches win for Annan

Martin McNiff's stoppage-time header clinched Annan a 2-1 home victory against play-off chasing East Fife and their first win in four matches.Defender McNiff headed home Steven Black's cross in the first minute of time added on to snatch Annan only their second win in nine games after Fifers striker Nathan Austin had cancelled out Ryan McStay's early opener.McStay gave the home side a flying start when he lashed home a loose ball in the penalty area after East Fife's defence had failed to clear in the second minute.Fraser Mullen spurned the chance to level for East Fife by firing his 12th-minute penalty over the crossbar after Black's foul on Austin.The visitors did level before the break, though, thanks to Austin's neat finish from close range, but McNiff's header clinched all the points for Annan.
