Entertaining draw at Dumbarton

Dumbarton and Raith Rovers both ended five-match losing streaks in the Scottish Championship with a 2-2 draw on the final day of the season. The Sons started well and deservedly went ahead after 21 minutes. Gary Fleming's curling shot struck the inside of a post and as Rovers goalkeeper David McGurn struggled to react to the rebound, Jordan Kirkpatrick was on hand to tap the ball into the net.It was a lead Dumbarton held until half-time but early in the second half Mark Stewart latched onto a pass from Lewis Vaughan and slotted the ball beneath Danny Rogers. The game was turned on its head on the hour as Vaughan capitalised on a poor kick out from Rogers to brilliantly lob the ball over the stranded goalkeeper. The Sons had the last word, though, Scott Agnew hit a shot with his unfavoured right foot and the ball flew into the bottom corner of the net after 78 minutes.
