Will Boyle dismissal proves costly for York
Relegation-threatened York made it 10 games without a win as a red card for defender Will Boyle proved costly in a 1-1 draw against Leyton Orient.The Minstermen had led at half-time against the play-off chasing O's following Bradley Fewster's seventh goal of the season.Jobi McAnuff had also hit a post with a penalty but, when Boyle was sent off for his second bookable offence, Orient grabbed a 75th-minute equaliser through Lloyd James within seconds to secure a point.York forged ahead in the 18th minute when Fewster swept a superb right-wing cross from Luke Summerfield into the roof of the net from three yards.The visitors had an excellent chance to level the scores on the stroke of half-time after Boyle handled Nicky Hunt's free-kick but McAnuff drilled his spot-kick against the base of Scott Flinders' right-hand post.On-loan Huddersfield centre-back Boyle went on to receive his marching orders after 74 minutes for simulation in the Orient penalty box.James then drilled in a low 15-yard shot to earn a share of the spoils.
