Peterborough end losing sequence by holding promotion-chasing Wigan

High-flying Wigan suffered a frustrating afternoon as they were held to a 1-1 draw at the DW Stadium by struggling Peterborough in Sky Bet League One.The visitors, coming into the game on the back of a five-game losing streak, belied their woeful form as they came out of the blocks by far the stronger.Ex-Wigan loan striker Shaq Coulthirst had the ball in the net with only two minutes gone, only to turn and see the offside flag up.Wigan gradually came into the game the longer the first half went on, but were unable to really test Posh goalkeeper Stuart Moore. The home side's lack of fluidity was underlined by the fact they had to make all three changes by half-time, with Jussi Jaaskelainen, Conor McAleny and Jason Pearce all having to go off. However, it looked as though Wigan would take the spoils when they eventually broke through with 18 minutes to go.Northern Ireland striker Will Grigg received the ball in the right channel, and he finished coolly past Moore. But Posh were not finished, and Marcus Maddison's free-kick from 30 yards nine minutes later deceived substitute goalkeeper Lee Nicholls, and crept in off the near post.
