Paddy Madden penalty earns points for Scunthorpe
Leading marksman Paddy Madden fired a 74th-minute winner from the penalty spot as Scunthorpe fought back from behind to beat Shrewsbury 2-1.Midfielder Neal Bishop was brought down in the box by defender Junior Brown and Madden stepped up to smash the spot-kick past keeper Jayson Leutwiler for his third goal in successive games - and eighth of the season. It secured Scunthorpe a third win on the trot for the first time since manager Mark Robins took charge a year ago. That seemed a long way off when Shrewsbury were fired into a 16th-minute lead by winger Sullay Kaikai with an excellent finish from the edge of the box, his third goal in just two games since arriving on loan from Crystal Palace.Scunthorpe though were on the front foot for most of the game but had to wait until the second half to find their finishing touch. It was full-back Scott Laird who go them back on level terms in the 58th minute with his first goal for the club since arriving from Preston during the summer. He popped up at the far post to head home a right wing cross from Madden, who then netted the winner.
