Raith maintain fine run after beating Queen of the South
Raith extended their unbeaten run in the Ladbrokes Scottish Championship to eight games after securing a 2-1 win at Queen of the South.Kyle Benedictus headed in from close range inside eight minutes but it proved a half of few chances thereafter, Kyle Hutton shooting wide for Queens on the half hour. The home side levelled eight minutes into the second half as Dale Hilson rifled home after a good turn but the relief did not last long as Craig Barr put Raith ahead with a strike from around the edge of the box in the 63rd minute.Rovers goalkeeper Kevin Cuthbert had to be alert on several occasions while Lewis Kidd struck the bar for the hosts after 85 minutes but Queens could not force an equaliser.
