Alloa off the bottom as Jason Marr rescues a point
Alloa moved off the bottom of the Scottish Championship with Jason Marr rescuing a point in a 1-1 draw at St Mirren Park.Lawrence Shankland had the best of the chances in the first half, with a header well saved just before the interval, and it was the Aberdeen loanee who opened the scoring in the 68th minute as goalkeeper Andy McNeil dealt poorly with a back pass.Marr cancelled that out in the 75th minute when he volleyed home Burton O'Brien's free-kick following a Jack Baird foul.Shankland had a chance to win it and Calum Gallagher had a penalty appeal waved away as the hosts pressed in vain for victory.
