Clyde climb with home victory over Annan

David Gormley and Jon-Paul McGovern scored either side of the break to help Clyde move up to second in the Ladbrokes League Two table with a 2-1 win over Annan.Clyde, who earlier in the day extended the contract of boss Barry Ferguson, have moved above Elgin and are now just a point behind leaders East Fife.Peter Weatherson and Barry Cuddihy wasted chances to break the deadlock for Annan while Clyde defender Chris Smith also went close with a header.The Bully Wee, though, took the lead five minutes before the break when Gormley slotted home a right-footed shot into the bottom corner.McGovern then doubled Clyde's advantage three minutes after half-time with his own right-footed effort.Matthew Flynn pulled a goal back for Annan on 78 minutes but Clyde stretched their winning run to four games.
