Darmstadt impress on the road again as relegation-threatened Hoffenheim overcome

Darmstadt again impressed on the road as rock-bottom Hoffenheim were overcome 2-0 in Sunday's Bundesliga clash. The visitors went ahead in the 33rd minute when Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann flapped at a cross, with Aytac Sulu nodding home after Slobodan Rajkovic headed the loose ball back into the six-yard box.The home side were showing no little effort but, whether it was the final ball or even the shot, something was always lacking in their game.It was timing which was to blame when substitute Kevin Kuranyi's pass was turned in by on-loan Andrej Kramaric, only for the offside flag to see the goal ruled out. And, as if to rub salt into their wounds, the referee got in the way to help Darmstadt double their lead late on, with Rajkovic tucking in from close range. The win lifted Darmstadt to 11th and enhanced their away record - only bettered by Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
