Stuttgart edge out Ingolstadt to move clear of Bundesliga drop zone

Stuttgart moved out of the Bundesliga relegation zone on Sunday thanks to a 1-0 win over Ingolstadt.Ingolstadt had the chance to take the lead in the fourth minute when they were awarded a penalty, but Przemyslaw Tyton kept out Mathew Leckie's spot-kick.Stuttgart did not take any more chances after that early let-off and started to gain the upper hand with their attacking quartet of Martin Harnik, Alexandru Maxim, Daniel Didavi and Timo Werner all going close.Didavi got the slightest of touches to Florian Klein's goalbound effort to give Stuttgart the lead on the hour mark, although he was lucky to see the linesman's flag stay down. That flag had earlier denied Timo Werner what should have been a regular goal, with the two decisions evening each other out and legitimising Stuttgart's second win of the season, with a red card to Geoffroy Serey Die not taking too much gloss off their win.
