Melbourne Victory beat Sydney FC through late Matthew Jurman own goal
The battle for the A-League premiers title will be a five-horse race after Melbourne Victory beat Sydney FC 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
The only goal of the game came in the 79th minute when defender Matt Jurman deflected Jesse Makarounas' cross past the helpless Vedran Janjetovic and into his own net.

It means the Victory move above Sydney on goals scored into fourth place, three points behind leaders Western Sydney Wanderers with two rounds of games to go. Five teams are separated by three points at the summit.
The top team at the end of the season qualifies directly for the group stage of the Asian Champions League, with the runners-up facing a qualifying game.
