Aaron Mooy shines as Melbourne City score five against Perth Glory

Australia midfielder Aaron Mooy scored and set up three other goals as Melbourne City thrashed Perth Glory 5-1 at AAMI Park on Friday.

The result, secured by goals from Erik Paartalu, Connor Chapman, Bruno Fornaroli, Harry Novillo and Mooy, took Melbourne City into fifth place in the A-League.

Perth, who had Aryn Williams sent off in the 82nd minute, had gone in at the break 3-1 behind after Sidnei Sciola pulled a goal back on the stroke of half-time.

But they had no answer to Mooy, whose man of the match performance was crowned when he slotted home a penalty for his side's fifth and final goal of the game.
