A Henrique strike secured Brisbane Roar a 1-1 draw with Melbourne City FC on Friday to move them back to the top of the A-League table.

Just days after scoring the winner against Perth Glory in his comeback from injury, Henrique came off the bench to score the equaliser 20 minutes from time.

Harry Novillo had given City the lead soon after half-time, exploiting goalkeeper Jamie Young's poor attempt at a clearance.

The Roar now have a one-point lead over Melbourne Victory, who had moved into first place on Thursday after beating Central Coast Mariners 2-1.

On Saturday, third-placed Sydney FC play at Perth Glory, while fourth-placed Western Sydney Wanderers host Wellington Phoenix.
