FC Goa defeat Chennaiyin FC, move atop Indian Super League table

A pair of penalties moved FC Goa to the top of the Indian Super League table with a 2-0 defeat of Chennaiyin FC in Chennai on Thursday.

Brazilian right-back Leo Moura put the visitors ahead from the spot in the 64th minute after Rafa Coelho was taken down in the box by Chennaiyin's Bernard Mendy.

Fellow Brazilian Jonatan Lucca settled the affair 14 minutes later, slotting into Karanjit Singh's bottom right corner following a Mehrajuddin Wadoo handball.

The victory moved ISL leaders FC Goa to 14 points on the campaign, one ahead of FC Pune City. Chennaiyin sit fifth, on 10 points.
