Chennaiyin FC book Indian Super League final place against FC Goa

Chennaiyin FC will meet FC Goa in the Indian Super League final after claiming a 4-2 aggregate win over Atletico de Kolkata in the semifinal.

Chennaiyin lost Wednesday's second leg 2-1, but their 3-0 victory from the first game of the tie proved to be enough to send them through to the showpiece event.

Dejan Lekic opened the scoring for Atletico in the 22nd minute, taking advantage of an error from Bernard Mendy to poke the ball home.

And the home side then scored a second in the 87th minute -- Iain Hume volleying into the back of the net -- to set up a tense finale.

But as Atletico went in search of a third to force the game into extra time, Fikru Teferra Lemessa struck in stoppage time for Chennaiyin to kill off the tie and send his side into Sunday's final.
