England through to Euro U19 semis after late win over Netherlands
Goals from Chelsea starlets Dominic Solanke and Izzy Brown earned England a 2-1 win over Netherlands on Friday as the Young Lions secured their a place in the semifinals of the European Under-19 Championship in Germany with a game to spare.
PSV Eindhoven youth Sam Lammers had put the Dutch in front after only 10 minutes, capitalising after a defensive clearance deflected through to him and he slotted past Newcastle goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.
England were level in the 36th minute, a cross from Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles picking out Solanke, who turned before firing beyond PSV keeper Yanick van Osch.
The game seemed destined to be a draw until super-sub Brown scored a dramatic winner two minutes into stoppage time.
