Spirit score three goals in second half to rally past Dash

The Washington Spirit scored three goals in the second half, including two within two minutes, to rally for a 3-1 comeback win against the Houston Dash on Friday at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston.

Hal Hershfelt tied the game at 1 for the Spirit in the 52nd minute, before Brittany Ratcliffe put them ahead in the 82nd minute and Croix Bethune added an insurance tally in the 84th. Spirit goalie Aubrey Kingsbury made one save to secure the victory. 

Natalie Jacobs opened the scoring for Houston in the opening minute with a right-footed shot from the center of the box following a corner kick. Houston goalie Jane Campbell made four saves in the loss.
