Paige Nielsen wins it for Houston Dash with last kick of the game

Paige Nielsen scores in the eighth minute of stoppage time to give the Houston Dash a 1-0 win vs. Angel City FC with the last kick of the game.

The Houston Dash secured a 1-0 victory over Angel City FC on Sunday at BMO Stadium as Paige Nielsen's late goal in the second half proved decisive.

The match saw both teams struggle to find the back of the net until Nielsen's left-footed shot from the center of the box, assisted by Andressa Alves following a corner, broke the deadlock at the 98th minute.

Nielsen also contributed defensively throughout the game for Houston. Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell made multiple saves to maintain the shutout.

Diana Ordóñez and Ramona Bachmann were active in creating opportunities for the Dash despite not finding goals themselves.

For Angel City, Alyssa Thompson and Claire Emslie were among those trying to break through Houston's defense but found no success against Campbell.
