McNeese roughs up Ecclesia in 101-54 home-opening win
LAKE CHARLES, La. -- Kalob Ledoux scored 20 points and Jarren Greenwood scored 16 points and McNeese beat NCCAA member Ecclesia 101-54 on Monday night in the Cowboys' home opener.
Ecclesia was competitive early taking an 8-2 lead with the help of a pair of 3-pointers from Dequcelan Bagsby before McNeese (1-1) went on a 13-0 run to take over the game with Greenwood scoring seven points during that stretch.
The Cowboys led 48-30 at halftime and went on to score 53 after the break. James Harvey scored 12 points, Jacob Ledoux chipped in 10 and 13 different McNeese players entered the scoring column. The Cowboys were 12 for 29 (41.4 percent) from 3-point range and outscored the Royals 21-2 in second-chance points.
Chris White led Ecclesia with 14 points, Cash Kruger scored 11 and Bagsby chipped in 10.
