Brown matches career high, leads Bucknell to 78-65 win
LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Stephen Brown matched his career high with 23 points, Zach Thomas had 13 and Nana Foulland added 12 as Bucknell raced ahead of Lehigh in the second half to take a 78-65 win on Thursday night.
Brown grabbed five rebounds with two assists and two steals. Thomas also had six rebounds and three steals.
Bucknell (10-8, 4-1 Patriot League) won its third straight and sixth of its last seven games to maintain a share of first place in the league.
The Bison, who had a 28-26 advantage at the half, started the second period on a 17-7 run as Brown hit a jumper and Bruce Moore and Foulland slammed home consecutive dunks. They pushed the lead to 60-44 at the 6:16 mark. Lehigh rallied in the closing minutes to close to 73-63 but could not overtake the Bison.
Pat Andree had 14 points and Jordan Cohen added 13 for Lehigh (7-9, 2-3).
