BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. -- David Efianayi scored 23 points and Gardner-Webb cruised to a 62-45 victory over High Point on Tuesday night.
Gardner-Webb (8-9, 3-1 Big South Conference) is 6-0 at home after rebounding from a 79-73 loss at Longwood on Saturday that snapped a four-game win streak.
Efianayi was 7-of-12 shooting and had a game-high four steals. Liam O'Reilly added 14 points for the Bulldogs.
Brandonn Kamga scored 11 points and Jahaad Proctor had 10 to lead High Point (7-8, 2-2), which shot 17 of 55 from the field (31 percent) and missed 14 of 15 from long range.
Efianayi opened the second half with a 3-pointer and dunk to extend the Bulldogs' lead to 36-22. High Point missed its first six field goals of the half before Ricky Madison made a layup with 14:26 remaining, sparking an 8-4 spurt to pull to 40-32, but the Panthers didn't get closer.
