Troutman leads FAU past NAIA Edward Waters 91-59

BOC RATON, Fla. -- Gerdarius Troutman made four 3-pointers and scored 23 points, Jailyn Ingram added 18 points, and Florida Atlantic beat NAIA Edward Waters 91-59 on Thursday.

FAU opened the game with an 18-2 run and Troutman's third 3-pointer of the half made it 45-19. The Owls led 57-23 at halftime in their home opener.

Anthony Adger scored 15 points for FAU (1-1), and Ronald Delph grabbed 14 rebounds. FAU outrebounded Edward Waters 46-26.

Ingram was held to just three points on 1-of-10 shooting in FAU's loss to South Florida. Troutman also had just three points in 18 minutes in the season opener, but made 8 of 12 shots against Edward Waters, and had six rebounds and four steals.

Charles-Eddie Smith led Edward Waters with 21 points and five 3-pointers. Deatry Lang added 11 points.
