Louisiana Tech rolls past Miles College 106-55
RUSTON, La. -- Freshman Exavian Christon hit three 3-pointers and scored a career-best 15 to lead six players in double figures and Louisiana Tech romped to a 106-55 win over Division II member Miles College on Saturday.
Jalen Harris finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the Bulldogs (6-1), who got scoring from 13 different players and picked up their 11th straight win on their home floor. Jacobi Boykins added 12 points and topped 1,000 for his career, Derric Jean scored 11 and Anthony Duruji and Jacolby Pemberton tossed in 10 points apiece.
Carl Garcia led the Golden Bears with 14 points, while Louis Blakes scored 10. Miles managed just six assists in the contest, four by Garcia.
Louisiana Tech dominated all facets of the game. The Bulldogs shot 57.1 percent (36 of 63) from the floor and made 50 percent (13 of 26) from 3-point range. Miles shot just 37.3 percent (22 of 59), including 2 of 13 (15.4 percent) from beyond the arc. Louisiana Tech controlled the boards 42-29 and had eight blocked shots, three each from Duruji and Joniah White.
