Rafferty scores 20 to lead Furman past Chattanooga 71-50

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Matt Rafferty had 20 points and 13 rebounds as Furman easily beat Chattanooga 71-50 on Saturday.

Alex Hunter had 16 points for Furman (24-6, 13-5), which won a school record 24th game and clinched the No. 3 seed at the Southern Conference Tournament. Andrew Brown added 11 points. Clay Mounce had three blocks for the visitors.

Jordan Lyons, whose 16 points per game entering the matchup was second on the Paladins, had 2 points. He was 0 of 5 from beyond the arc.

David Jean-Baptiste had 13 points and six rebounds for the Mocs (12-19, 7-11).

Kevin Easley, the Mocs' leading scorer entering the contest at 14 points per game, was held to 5 points on 2-of-12 shooting.
