Green Bay beats Youngstown State in overtime 99-93

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- JayQuan McCloud scored 24 points and Kameron Hankerson had 19, both career highs, and Green Bay beat Youngstown State 99-93 in overtime on Thursday night.

PJ Pipes added a career-high 16 points, making 8 of 8 at the line including the tying points in regulation and the Green Bay's final six in overtime. Shanquan Hemphill added 10 and Sandy Cohen III made all six of his free throws, four in overtime, in scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and two big blocks.

Devin Morgan hit a 3-pointer and Garrett Covington added a basket to give the Penguins (4-12, 0-3 Horizon) a three-point lead in overtime but Cohen sank four free throws after rebounds and added a block before Hemphill had a putback for a three-point Green Bay lead. McCloud added a bucket in the paint before Morgan hit another 3 but Cohen blocked Morgan from behind and Pipes sank six free throws over the final 42 seconds.

Two free throws by Pipes tied the game at 83-all with 32 seconds left in regulation.

Darius Quisenberry scored a career-high 24 points, including 10 of 10 from the line, and Jelani Simmons made all five of his 3-pointers in scoring a career-high 17 for Youngstown State. They both fouled out. Donel Cathcart added 15 and Morgan 11.

The Phoenix (8-7, 2-0) were 25 of 36 from the line to 14 of 15 for the Penguins.
