PITTSBURGH -- — Darin Green Jr. scored 24 points and Florida State won consecutive contests for the second time this season, beating Pitt 71-64 on Saturday.

Matthew Cleveland and Caleb Mills each scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Florida State (7-13, 5-4 ACC). The Panthers (13-7, 6-3) saw their two-game win streak come to an end. Pitt is 2/3 in its last five.

Jamarius Burton's layup with 2:19 to go brought Pitt within 65-64, but Green Jr. responded with an immediate 3-pointer and the Panthers missed their last four shots.

De’Ante Green made layups in consecutive possessions to break a 56-all tie and Florida State stayed ahead for the remainder.

Despite Pitt's 15-5 start, Florida State countered with a 20-2 outburst in a five-and-a-half minute span and went to intermission up 39-29.

Florida State finished 25-for-49 (51%) shooting — 10 for 20 from 3 — and 11 for 15 (73.3%) from the foul line.

Burton scored 20 points for Pitt and Blake Hinson 16.

The Seminoles host No. 17 Miami on Tuesday and No. 19 Clemson on Jan. 28. Pitt hosts Wake Forest on Wednesday and No. 17 Miami on Jan. 28.
