Cal Baptist wins 76-73 against San Diego
SAN DIEGO -- — Joe Quintana had 17 points in Cal Baptist’s 76-73 victory against San Diego on Saturday night.
Quintana added five assists for the Lancers (7-4). Hunter Goodrick scored 13 points while going 6 of 10 from the field, and added nine rebounds. Taran Armstrong shot 4 of 6 from the field and 2 for 5 from the line to finish with 11 points.
Eric Williams Jr. led the way for the Toreros (5-5) with 18 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Jase Townsend added 17 points and four assists for San Diego. In addition, Jaiden Delaire finished with 11 points.
Goodrick scored eight points in the first half and Cal Baptist went into the break trailing 36-34. Armstrong led Cal Baptist with 11 points in the second half as their team outscored San Diego by five points over the final half.
