LORMAN, Miss. -- — Dontrell McQuarter scored 20 points as Alcorn State beat Bethune-Cookman 76-68 on Monday night.
McQuarter was 7-of-9 shooting and 6 of 6 from the free-throw line for the Braves (9-10, 6-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference), who have won six straight. Jeremiah Kendall scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Dominic Brewton scored 11.
Zion Harmon led the Wildcats (6-14, 2-5) with 22 points and four assists. Marcus Garrett added 17 points and four assists. Kevin Davis pitched in with 13 points and 14 rebounds.
