SAN ANTONIO -- — Mike Saunders Jr.'s 20 points helped McNeese defeat Incarnate Word 80-66 on Saturday night.

Saunders was 6-of-10 shooting, including 2 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 6 for 7 from the foul line for the Cowboys (16-2, 5-0 Southland Conference). Christian Shumate added 13 points while going 6 of 9 from the field, and he also had seven rebounds and three steals. CJ Felder was 4-of-5 shooting and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line to finish with 11 points. The Cowboys picked up their 11th straight win.

The Cardinals (5-12, 0-4) were led in scoring by Dylan Hayman, who finished with 10 points and six rebounds. Sky Wicks added 10 points for Incarnate Word. Elijah Davis also had nine points and six rebounds.
