Appalachian State wins 88-59 over Coastal Carolina

BOONE, N.C. -- — Tre'Von Spillers scored 18 points as Appalachian State beat Coastal Carolina 88-59 on Saturday night.

Spillers added nine rebounds for the Mountaineers (15-4, 6-1 Sun Belt Conference). Donovan Gregory scored 13 points while going 4 of 8 and 5 of 6 from the free throw line, and added seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals. CJ Huntley shot 5 for 9, including 2 for 4 from beyond the arc to finish with 13 points.

The Chanticleers (5-13, 2-5) were led in scoring by John Ojiako, who finished with 18 points, 16 rebounds and two blocks. Jacob Meyer added 18 points for Coastal Carolina. In addition, Kevin Easley Jr. finished with six points and three steals.

Appalachian State's next game is Thursday against Georgia Southern at home, and Coastal Carolina hosts Southern Miss on Wednesday.
