PRINCETON, N.J. -- — Xaivian Lee had 19 points in Princeton's 73-62 victory over Yale on Saturday night.
Lee also contributed seven rebounds and five assists for the Tigers (19-3, 7-2 Ivy League). Matt Allocco scored 18 points while going 5 of 12 from the floor, including 1 for 3 from 3-point range, and 7 for 7 from the line. Caden Pierce was 4 of 7 shooting and 3 of 4 from the free throw line to finish with 11 points.
The Bulldogs (17-7, 8-1) were led in scoring by Bez Mbeng, who finished with 18 points, seven rebounds and two steals. John Poulakidas added 16 points for Yale. August Mahoney also had 13 points. The loss snapped the Bulldogs' 10-game winning streak.
Both teams play Friday. Princeton visits Harvard and Yale travels to Cornell.
