Southeast Missouri wins in final second of OT on Rob Martin's jumper

Rob Martin hits a winning bucket with 1.1 seconds left in overtime to lift Southeast Missouri to victory against Southern Indiana.


CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- — Rob Martin had 29 points and hit the go-ahead jumper with one second left in overtime in Southeast Missouri State's 93-91 victory over Southern Indiana in an Ohio Valley Conference opener on Friday night.

Martin added seven assists for the Redhawks (5-8). Aquan Smart added 19 points and Adam Larson scored 11.

The Redhawks led 72-64 with 1:40 left in regulation but Jack Campion tied it at 74 with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer at the end of regulation. SE Mo State never trailed in overtime but needed Martin's clutch jumper to win it.

Jeremiah Hernandez finished with 35 points and three steals for the Screaming Eagles (3-11). Southern Indiana also got 19 points and 11 rebounds from AJ Smith.
