NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- — EJ Bellinger had 18 points in Tennessee State's 78-73 win over Eastern Illinois on Thursday night.
Bellinger added six rebounds for the Tigers (16-12, 9-6 Ohio Valley Conference). Jaylen Jones added 16 points while going 6 of 11 (3 for 7 from 3-point range), and he also had five assists. Jason Jitoboh shot 3 of 7 from the field and 6 for 6 from the line to finish with 12 points, while adding six rebounds and four blocks.
Kyndall Davis led the way for the Panthers (13-15, 7-8) with 16 points and two blocks. Corey Swayer Jr. added 14 points for Eastern Illinois. Nakyel Shelton also had 12 points and seven rebounds.
