NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- — Michael Shanks' 16 points helped Tennessee State defeat SIU-Edwardsville 76-71 on Saturday night.

Marcus Fitzgerald Jr. scored 15 points while going 3 of 7 and 7 of 8 from the free throw line.
