MACOMB, Ill. -- — Ryan Myers scored 24 points as Western Illinois beat SIU-Edwardsville 76-65 on Saturday night.
Myers had six rebounds for the Leathernecks (20-11, 13-5 Ohio Valley Conference). Jesiah West scored 13 points while going 4 of 10 and 5 of 11 from the free throw line, and added six rebounds. Quinlan Bennett was 6 of 12 shooting and 1 of 4 from the free throw line to finish with 13 points.
The Cougars (16-15, 9-9) were led by Damarco Minor, who posted 20 points and 11 rebounds. Shamar Wright added 11 points, 10 rebounds and four steals for SIU-Edwardsville. In addition, Ray'Sean Taylor had 11 points and seven assists.
