DURHAM, N.C. -- — Ja'Darius Harris had 21 points in North Carolina Central's 79-70 victory against Longwood on Wednesday.
Harris added 10 rebounds for the Eagles (7-7). Fred Cleveland Jr. scored 16 points and added six assists. Devin Gordon had 14 points and shot 4 for 6 (3 for 5 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free throw line.
The Lancers (12-2) were led by Johnathan Massie, who recorded 20 points, nine rebounds and three steals. Michael Christmas added 12 points and seven rebounds for Longwood. Walyn Napper also had nine points and eight assists. The loss ended a 12-game winning streak for the Lancers.
