CARBONDALE, Ill. -- — Xavier Johnson had 16 points in Southern Illinois' 81-50 victory over Southern Indiana on Friday night.
Johnson had seven rebounds, eight assists, and three steals for the Salukis (8-4). Jarrett Hensley scored 12 points, finishing 5 of 9 from the floor. Troy D'Amico shot 3 for 5 (2 for 4 from 3-point range) and 3 of 3 from the free throw line to finish with 11 points.
AJ Smith led the way for the Screaming Eagles (3-10) with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Southern Indiana also got nine points, seven rebounds and two blocks from Jack Mielke. Jeremiah Hernandez also had nine points.
