BATON ROUGE, La. -- — Tai'Reon Joseph scored 21 points as Southern beat Prairie View A&M 79-58 on Monday night.
Joseph added six rebounds for the Jaguars (8-7, 2-0 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Jalen Reynolds added 13 points while shooting 6 of 8 from the field, and they also had seven rebounds. Brandon Davis was 3 of 10 shooting, including 3 for 8 from 3-point range, and went 4 for 4 from the line to finish with 13 points, while adding six assists.
Brian Myles finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks for the Panthers (5-10, 0-2). Charles Lane Jr. added 18 points for Prairie View A&M. In addition, Charles Smith IV finished with 10 points and two steals.
