Joseph scores 33 as Southern defeats Florida A&M 74-65

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- — Tai'Reon Joseph's 33 points led Southern past Florida A&M 74-65 on Saturday night.

Joseph shot 12 for 24 (8 for 19 from 3-point range) and 1 of 5 from the free throw line for the Jaguars (9-7, 3-0 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Brandon Davis scored 14 points while shooting 5 for 8, including 3 for 5 from beyond the arc, and added five rebounds. Jaronn Wilkens went 4 of 6 from the field to finish with nine points.

Hantz Louis-Jeune led the Rattlers (2-11, 0-2) in scoring, finishing with 16 points and nine rebounds. Jalen Speer added 14 points and four assists for Florida A&M. In addition, K'Jei Parker finished with 13 points. The loss is the sixth straight for the Rattlers.
