ATLANTA -- — Xavier Amos had 21 points in Northern Illinois' 98-93 win over Little Rock on Saturday.
Amos was 6 of 9 shooting, including 5 for 6 from 3-point range, and went 4 for 8 from the line for the Huskies (4-1). David Coit added 20 points while shooting 4 for 14 (3 for 7 from 3-point range) and 9 of 10 from the free throw line, and he also had eight rebounds and six assists. Philmon Gebrewhit shot 5 of 7 from the field and 9 for 13 from the line to finish with 19 points.
The Trojans (1-2) were led by Deantoni Gordon, who recorded 26 points and six rebounds. Little Rock also got 20 points, eight assists and two blocks from Khalen Robinson. Pavle Kuzmanovic also put up 15 points.
