Army takes down Holy Cross 59-53
WORCESTER, Mass. -- — TJ Small scored 19 points as Army beat Holy Cross 59-53 on Saturday.
Small shot 6 for 10 (5 for 7 from 3-point range) and 2 of 4 from the free throw line for the Black Knights (10-17, 6-8 Patriot League). Josh Scovens scored 12 points while shooting 5 for 11, including 2 for 3 from beyond the arc, and added six rebounds. Charlie Peterson was 3 of 5 shooting and 2 of 4 from the free throw line to finish with eight points, while adding eight rebounds.
Joseph Octave led the Crusaders (8-19, 5-9) in scoring, finishing with 11 points. Bo Montgomery added nine points and six rebounds for Holy Cross. In addition, Will Batchelder had nine points.
Both teams play Wednesday. Army hosts Lehigh and Holy Cross hosts Bucknell.
