Moton's 17 help Grambling knock off Alabama A&M 74-73

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- — Tra'Michael Moton's 17 points helped Grambling defeat Alabama A&M 74-73 on Thursday night.

Moton also added six steals for the Tigers (17-13, 14-3 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Jalen Johnson shot 3 of 4 from the field and 8 of 9 from the free-throw line to add 14 points. Jourdan Smith had 13 points and shot 4 of 7 from the field and 5 for 6 from the line. It was the sixth win in a row for the Tigers.

Omari Peek-Green led the Bulldogs (9-21, 8-9) in scoring, finishing with 22 points, four assists and three steals. Cameron Tucker added 10 points and two steals for Alabama A&M. Chad Moodie finished with nine points.

Both teams play on Saturday. Grambling visits Alabama State and Alabama A&M hosts Southern.
