Madlock's 14 lead Alabama State over Alcorn State 55-53
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- — Antonio Madlock had 14 points in Alabama State's 55-53 victory over Alcorn State on Saturday night.
Madlock had five rebounds for the Hornets (8-9, 3-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Isaiah Range added 12 points and Sean Smith had 10.
Alabama State trailed by nine points at halftime, then rallied and led the final 4 1/2 minutes of the game, taking the lead for good on a 3-pointer by Range.
Jeremiah Kendall finished with 19 points for the Braves (2-14, 1-2). Jeremiah Gambrell added 14 points for Alcorn State. In addition, Byron Joshua had 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
