HIGH POINT, N.C. -- — Duke Miles scored 28 points as High Point beat UNC Asheville 84-79 on Wednesday night.
Miles was 8 of 15 shooting, including 2 for 3 from 3-point range, and went 10 for 10 from the line for the Panthers (14-4, 3-0 Big South Conference). Abdoulaye Thiam scored 18 points, shooting 7 for 16, including 2 for 6 from beyond the arc. Trae Benham finished 4 of 8 from 3-point range and 3 for 3 from the line to finish with 15 points. The Panthers picked up their sixth straight win.
Drew Pember finished with 36 points, eight rebounds, two steals and three blocks for the Bulldogs (10-8, 2-1). Nicholas McMullen added 12 points, seven rebounds and two steals for UNC Asheville. Josh Banks also had 11 points.
