Stephney scores 15 as UNC Asheville defeats Longwood 65-61

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- — Trent Stephney had 15 points in UNC Asheville's 65-61 victory against Longwood on Saturday.

Stephney also had five assists for the Bulldogs (11-8, 3-1 Big South Conference). Josh Banks shot 4 for 10 (1 for 3 from 3-point range) and 4 of 6 from the free-throw line to add 13 points. Drew Pember shot 2 for 14 (1 for 7 from 3-point range) and 7 of 8 from the free-throw line to finish with 12 points.

Szymon Zapala finished with 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Lancers (13-6, 1-3). Longwood also got 13 points, seven rebounds and two steals from Walyn Napper. In addition, Michael Christmas finished with 13 points.
