LORMAN, Miss. -- — Grayson Carter had 17 points in Texas Southern's 72-61 win over Alcorn State on Saturday night.
Carter shot 7 of 11 from the field and 2 for 3 from the line for the Tigers (5-11, 3-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Jaylen Wysinger scored 14 points while going 4 of 6 from the floor, including 3 for 4 from 3-point range, and 3 for 3 from the line. PJ Henry had 13 points and was 4 of 14 shooting (3 for 8 from 3-point range).
The Braves (2-15, 1-3) were led in scoring by Jeremiah Gambrell, who finished with 17 points and two steals. Alcorn State also got 16 points from Jeremiah Kendall. In addition, Byron Joshua finished with 10 points and five assists.
